ETHPanda Young Hacker Odyssey Plan
Background
Devcon is a significant annual conference for Ethereum, featuring a four-day developer event held at a large venue.
Date: November 12 - 15
Website: Devcon 2024
ETHGlobal is one of the leading Ethereum hackathon series worldwide, bringing together developers, entrepreneurs, and innovators to advance blockchain technology.
Date: November 15 - 17
Website: https://ethglobal.com/
ETHPanda aims to help more young Chinese-speaking developers participate in international events and hackathons, connecting them with other outstanding young talents. The upcoming Devcon and ETHGlobal in Thailand present a perfect and essential opportunity for this goal.
However, due to language, cultural, and financial barriers, some young hackers may face difficulties in attending. Therefore, we have launched the ETHPanda Youth Hacker Voyage Program.

ETHPanda Youth Hacker Voyage Program
ETHPanda will provide support to help young hackers participate in a series of Web3 -related events, including Devcon and ETHGlobal.
- Flight Sponsorship: We will reimburse flight tickets to reduce the financial burden on young hackers.
- Group Action: Participants will attend relevant conferences, hackathons, and discussions together, led by experienced hackers, ensuring no one feels overwhelmed.
- Hackathon Participation: Teams will be formed under the guidance of experienced hackathon leaders to participate in the competition and win awards.
- Networking: Engage and socialize with young hackers from different countries, building friendships and making new connections.
We plan to raise a minimum of 5000U to launch this program, primarily for flight reimbursements. Based on our estimates, round-trip tickets from Shanghai to Bangkok in November are around 280U , while Chiang Mai to Bangkok round-trip tickets are around 80U . Therefore, we will set a reimbursement limit of 300U per person for non-Thailand hackers and 100U per person for Chiang Mai hackers.
Applicants will cover their ticket expenses upfront and get reimbursed after submitting their ticket receipts for verification.
The minimum budget of 5000U will support more than 20 young hackers to travel to Thailand, participate in cutting-edge technology events, and engage in international exchanges! We aim to raise more funds to support additional participants.
